Jackson playing in the sand

I really can't believe he even went out this far. He is not very fond of the waves splashing on him and he worries about sharks.

Mason at Myrtle Beach

This is Mason "handling" the waves at Myrtle Beach.

These pictures are from our trip to Myrtle Beach in September.

Spring Valley Beach

We went to this waterpark called Spring Valley Beach today and we had so much fun....it was the boys, my friend Cortney, and me....we got there at 10:30 and left at 5 and miraculously no major sunburn....Jackson of course tans like I don't know what...his tan line seriously makes me jealous....There is only one picture of Mason in the water and he is so far away...he stayed out on this big sprayer/waterfall thing all day....we ate at Waffle House on our way home...the boys first experience there....we used a whole thing of syrup....Mason's waffle was pretty much soaked all the way through.....we are crashed at the house right now watching Magic School Bus....anyway, enjoy the pictures :)

Jack's Birthday

Mason's Birthday and Update

So...I'm a little behind on my posting....thanks for noticing, Molly :) I have finished up my twelve-week orientation at work....I cannot believe that I've been working that long...it has gone by so quickly and doesn't even feel like work.....I really enjoy what I do...thank goodness! The boys have started back to school and both have really good teachers this year. Jackson lucked-out and is in the same class as his best friend from last year....he is really happy about that. Hmm..what else....We leave for the beach in about 3 weeks...woohoo! I can't wait! We are packing light this year (trying, anyway) because I always hate unpacking when we get home. We just need swimsuits...a couple pairs of shorts and shirts and some flip-flops.....I don't know why we are always cramming everything in. Jackson is covered in chigger bites...we have been putting clear finger polish on for the last few days....he has so many it takes about ten minutes to cover them all. We also had the good fortune of getting our first experience with head lice.....so much fun....I guess they picked them up from summer camp at the YMCA..... Okay, I can't think of anything else in our exciting lives so let me just post some pics.

Fernbank Trip

Last weekend Rob and I took the boys to Atlanta's Fernbank museums....the science center (sorry..their site is down or something so I can't link it) and the natural history museum. The science center has a planetarium that the boys loved...honestly, Rob and I were wishing that the "Moonrock Dance" weren't quite so long...but other than that it was great....My first time in a planetarium since about third grade. Then on to the natural history museum which had tons of dinosaur stuff for the boys to go crazy over PLUS a live reptile exibit which was very cool. Enjoy the pictures!

NCLEX

I took my state boards yesterday, otherwise known as the NCLEX.....it was the hardest thing I've ever done....I think I failed....I don't know how I would have passed it as I felt like I knew NONE of it....I find out tomorrow morning.....it's all I can think about.

The Booger Dialogues

Mason: Hey Mom, yesterday at school I sneezed and a big, long booger came out.

Me: Hmmm....Well, did you get a tissue?

Mason: shaking his head....No....I just SHOOK it off

I don't think I need to add anything to make this funny....ha

Zoo Field Trip

Yesterday we went to the zoo for the boy's last field trip for the school year. Supposedly there were 3500 kids there.....all I noticed was the heat....It was SO hot. We were to meet back at the bus at 2:00....there were 4 parents missing...prancing around the zoo while the rest of us were sweating our butts off....Are you kidding me?? You know there is no AC on the bus....and then we got stuck behind a mailman on the way back to the school....I know you think I am complaining....Really, we had a great time...I just don't do "hot" so well. I was very grateful that I got to go with the boys as I feel like I won't be seeing much of them over the next couple of weeks b/c of starting my job and going to board review.

Graduation Activities

I seem to have gotten through nursing school...the pictures prove it...even if I don't have the overall feeling of relief yet. Our pinning ceremony was on Thursday and, then on Saturday, my friend Honey had a BBQ at her house. I apologize but I am not "blogger-advanced" enough to put my descriptions where I want them...so...When the boys got to the church, Mason's first words were, "Mom, what happened to you?" A testament to the fact that they see me way too often in scrubs, no make-up and a ponytail. Note the ponytail holder around my wrist...geez...I didn't even notice it was there until we were sitting on the stage. Don't worry boys...your real mommy is still underneath this make-up and pretty hair. I have to mention that my last three haircuts have been done here by Shaun and every time I leave I feel beautiful....I've got to start scheduling my appointments in the morning so I can have a full day of that feeling :) The BBQ at Honey's was a lot of fun...the boys got to play with their friend in this big back yard....they were sweating so much it looked like they had stuck their heads in a puddle...come to think of it, they may have...haha.

If anyone knows a way for me to put my descriptions with my pictures I would appreciate the help.
