HA!..Mom...LOOK!!

The title says it all...he COULD NOT stop laughing at himself....I had a hard time laughing as well. Apparently we are going through some kind of "underwear" stage.....today, he came home from spending the night at my Mom's and informed me that he was wearing two pairs of underwear....this too was "snortin...peeing your pants" funny :)

And I thought I was tired

The boys are on spring break this week which has made it a bit easier for me to work the 3-11 shift...I'm a sissy and after just two nights of working, I was tired and bleary-eyed as I walked through the crosswalk to the parking deck. I was not as tired, however; as the woman who was getting off the elevator about to head towards the hospital. It was about 11:30p.m. and I remember thinking, "I wonder what shift she works...this is an odd time to be coming on." All of a sudden, she turned around and said, "Oh my lord...I was going back to that place."....apparently, she had left...walked to the parking deck and then started to go back in.....I am not THAT tired...yet :)

Virginia Tech (Hokie Nation)

I had to take a moment to talk about the horrible events that transpired in Blacksburg, Virginia yesterday. I'm sure all of you have heard about the gunman that killed over 30 people on campus yesterday....most all of you also know that this is where Rob earned his degree in Mechanical Engineering as well. We have traveled up there several times for football games and to now see that beautiful campus so tragically displayed on CNN feels really strange. I know it must be devastating to Rob as most of these kids were killed in the engineering buiding where he attended alot of classes. Listening to the accounts this morning, I cannot even begin to imagine the terror that was felt yesterday....or the variety of emotions that are being felt today. My heart and thoughts go out to all of these people and everyone that has been and will be touched by this tragedy.

Are you Kidding????

Today, Jackson somehow managed to get pee on the top of the toilet tank....This "almost" beats the, "Mom...I got pee on the shower curtain" incident.....What more can I say....Seriously....Point and shoot guys..point and shoot.

Easter Stuff

The boys were at my parent's last night coloring eggs and didn't get in bed until after 10:00...of course that didn't keep them from getting up at 6:00 this morning :) You can see here that Mason was excited about getting this book that he has been wanting. And Jack is happy with just about anything dinosaur-related. (Don't you love the nasal flaring?) Aunt Dana and Aunt Kara picked them up for Sunday school...you can see them here, here, here and here ( I was trying to get someone to kiss the other one on the cheek but it wasn't working out very well). We all met over at my parent's for lunch and an easter egg hunt for Jack, Mason, and Lacie...all was going well (the adults pointing out all the eggs for the kids) until Mason was intersected by the two dogs and basically carried and then thrown off by the Boxer....here are his battle wounds. He wanted to leave right away saying, "I never want to come back here again, Mom". It wasn't until we got home that we saw the full extent of the bumps and bruises..along with the bottom half of one eyeball being bruised...we will have to keep an eye on that. We are all relaxing at home now watching the Master's on TV...I can't believe that I am finding it somewhat interesting. Here is one last picture of Jack (he looks sleepy to me but he just keeps denying it..imagine that) and here he is showing off his missing tooth.

I hope everyone had a great Easter :)

Jen...I got the pictures...everyone looks great!

Overheard

Overheard while the boys were taking a bath last night:

Mason: "Awwww.....Did you just say 'hell'?"

Jackson: "Nu...uh...I did not say that Mason."

Mason: "Uh...huh...You said 'hell'."....."I heard you say 'hell' Jack".

Do you get the feeling Mason just wanted to say "hell"???

Dirty Socks

Today I taught my children a lesson that, fortunate or unfortnate as it may be, will probablly be one that sticks with them for the remainder of their lives. I just hope some of the good stuff sticks as well.....

I sent the boys to get their socks and shoes on this morning only to hear, "MOM....There AREN'T any socks."....hmmm....I guess I should have done some laundry this weekend....I am so sorry boys....here, let mommy search through the laundry basket and see if we can find some that aren't TOO gross.....I felt like I should carry the basket out and search through it where they wouldn't be watching but I didn't....so....in the future....when someone complains that Jackson or Mason get dirty socks out of the laundry instead of washing some......there will only be me to blame.

On another note....I passed one of three mandatory exams, for my nursing program, this morning....it was hard as crap...and I thought I had failed it....but I did pretty well....Thank God....one down.
