The Booger Dialogues

Mason: Hey Mom, yesterday at school I sneezed and a big, long booger came out.

Me: Hmmm....Well, did you get a tissue?

Mason: shaking his head....No....I just SHOOK it off

I don't think I need to add anything to make this funny....ha

Zoo Field Trip

Yesterday we went to the zoo for the boy's last field trip for the school year. Supposedly there were 3500 kids there.....all I noticed was the heat....It was SO hot. We were to meet back at the bus at 2:00....there were 4 parents missing...prancing around the zoo while the rest of us were sweating our butts off....Are you kidding me?? You know there is no AC on the bus....and then we got stuck behind a mailman on the way back to the school....I know you think I am complaining....Really, we had a great time...I just don't do "hot" so well. I was very grateful that I got to go with the boys as I feel like I won't be seeing much of them over the next couple of weeks b/c of starting my job and going to board review.

Graduation Activities

I seem to have gotten through nursing school...the pictures prove it...even if I don't have the overall feeling of relief yet. Our pinning ceremony was on Thursday and, then on Saturday, my friend Honey had a BBQ at her house. I apologize but I am not "blogger-advanced" enough to put my descriptions where I want them...so...When the boys got to the church, Mason's first words were, "Mom, what happened to you?" A testament to the fact that they see me way too often in scrubs, no make-up and a ponytail. Note the ponytail holder around my wrist...geez...I didn't even notice it was there until we were sitting on the stage. Don't worry boys...your real mommy is still underneath this make-up and pretty hair. I have to mention that my last three haircuts have been done here by Shaun and every time I leave I feel beautiful....I've got to start scheduling my appointments in the morning so I can have a full day of that feeling :) The BBQ at Honey's was a lot of fun...the boys got to play with their friend in this big back yard....they were sweating so much it looked like they had stuck their heads in a puddle...come to think of it, they may have...haha.

If anyone knows a way for me to put my descriptions with my pictures I would appreciate the help.

I Passed!

Well...I took my final yesterday morning and grades were posted this morning....it's official....I passed!!! Whew...funny thing though...I don't quite feel like I thought I would. Apparently, it's not just me...these feelings of "confusion" are running rampant through all my friends. See, over the past few weeks, I've been waiting for the "thank god" feeling to come over me....never happened...so I thought that surely after finding out that I passed I would feel SOMETHING...and, don't get me wrong...I am glad that this part of my education has been completed...I just don't feel like it's real....I guess...Our "pinning" ceremony (a ceremony for graduating nurses) is tomorrow evening...I'm sure all the tears and emotions will make it all seem more real...we'll see....anyway, I just want to make the announcement.."I passed!"
